Open – no judgement, no preconceptions, no attachments to our views, beliefs, and opinions.

Wide – interbeing, the interconnectedness of everything.

Long – impermanence and cosmic insignificance, mankind has existed for a veritable nanosecond along the timeline of the universe, and earth is but a speck in the universe.

Deep – thusness, things just are, without any inherent qualities.

Inclusive/love/compassion – self explanatory.

In a workshop/retreat I attended at Great Vow Monastery one of the exercises was to explore different ways or dimensions in which we can open our minds.  I came away from this retreat thinking that this exercise was perhaps part of the answer to my question, “How does one help another experience it?”
