Buddha’s two indications of enlightenment
My teacher posed the following question the other day:
“Buddha said there are two indications of becoming enlightened. One is that little things no longer bother you. What is the second?”
My answer is as follows:
The second is no longer contemplating whether you are enlightened or not.
From my teacher
I wasn't even close. : )
According to my teacher, the answer he had in mind was: Understanding the oneness or interconnectedness of everything.
For me, the word interbeing (Thích Nhất Hạnh) sums up this idea best.
