I’ve gone through life as if I’m a solo actor on a stage, with everything else just a prop upon my stage. And yet not only do I know that is not true, I’ve felt it as well. At a retreat at Cloud Mountain Retreat Center, I was walking through the woods and the words “There are so many things” blurted from my mouth.  Accompanying this was a realization that not only am I a player upon my stage on which all other dharmas are just props, but all these other things, these dharmas, are also players upon their own stage upon which everything, including me, are their props.

For anyone who thinks they’re the star actor upon the stage of life, this TED Talk will dispel them of that notion.
